I want to start this discussion with a question: HOW WILL THE DRIVERLESS CARS HELP IMPROVE OUR SOCIETY?

Since couple of years past, news of deaths which when looked at critically, leaves one to say they shouldn,t have occurred in the first place but still they did occur. The part of it all that is most annoying is that a higher percentage of this death record occurs on the road. This type of accidents, have cut many lives short and made some broken beyond repairs. One of the most painful road accident recorded is the death of the veteran artist Paul Walker who died alongside his driver. This also brings to our notice how so many other influential and non influential figures have been lost due to road accident. Many a times, when I remember the death of many people I try to find ways through which such event could have been avoided. The late Paul Walkers death, is one that will remain for years in the minds of many.

Looking back at the days past and today, it is evident that there is a possible solution, a change and a more lifesaving opportunity on our roads. self-driven cars on our roads will reduce the rate of road accident and help keep people alive for more years. A driver, was coming back from the office and decided to go to the bar on getting to the bar, he orders for a bottle of bear and few minutes later his friends shows up. They all decides to have more bear with among themselves, after some couple of hours they decide to go home. These set of people are already drunk and at their state, they cannot drive as it is hard driving while one is drunk. Another instance of distractor index which causes road accidents can be seen in the movie Doctor Strange, at the slightest opportunity he wanted to use and answer his call, that was the end and that cost him his practice days. Phone calls while driving is a deadly thing to do as it takes ones focus out of the road.

This distractor indexes coupled with bad state of cars and our roads, as seen in our contemporary society today will be a thing of the past with autonomous and self-driven cars. Dav network has studied the transportation industry and seen the need for these cars(self-driven) and is creating a platform where this is possible. The Dav Network, is trying to connect users who would have need for these cars to be able to access them, through decentralizing this sphere and giving everyone an opportunity for a better society free of ghastly road accidents due to human faults.

There are two huge problems getting in the way of fully automated systems, specially of those that can have fatal implications: maintenance/update adaptation and human error.

I wouldn't ever vouch for anything that doesn't propose innovative solutions to these critical concerns. Hopefully, DAV will present something that covers this.

AVs will be addressing the issue of human errors on the road, i believe DAV will address the issues of up to date maintenance thereby ensuring these vehicles are updated every now and then.

Can this be possible in a developing countries?. All the same if this innovative idea is achieved and applied it will be of great safety for death rate reduction.

Yes it is possible. All that this autonomous vehicles needs is sensors that will be receiving and transmitting datas. Once they get conversant with the road signs and traffic lights they are good to go. Also it will as well bring innovation to those developing countries as every country be it developed or developing is facing the same major issues as seen on the road network today. The issues of road accident and traffic jams and so many others.

Driverless cars will reduce real estate prices. Particularly in crowded metros like Seattle.

Yes. And it will help improve the cities and rid it off of much CO2 emissions
