A NEW PROJECT OF THE ELECTRONICS GIANT

According to a document sent to inform the government of British Columbia, IBM is promoting the use of blockade to ensure the safety of users and the introduction of regulatory oversight in the distribution of marijuana "from the seeds to the counter."

The authorities of this Canadian province are preparing regulations for the industry of legal cannabis. Official statements say that in British Columbia it is planned to make legal use of "herb" not for medical purposes by July 2018.

Describing key features of the technology, including its transparency and in change ability, IBM noted that the block will ensure the health and safety of consumers through "data on the origin and ability to track" products across the entire supply chain of marijuana. This will have to eliminate cases of fraud.

Also in the document there are the following words:
"The importance of [blocker] in the regulation of cannabis is similar to other uses in areas such as the distribution of pharmaceuticals and food supply channels."
In conclusion, it was said that the blockage could help the provincial government "take control" of the origin and sale of products, which should contribute to the "complete" elimination of sales on the black market.

In recent months, IBM has conducted a lot of testing of supply chains using block-based technology. One of them was a project to automate the processing of document flow between trading partners for managers of the port of Singapore.
