Blockchain technology has gained attention worldwide. It has been chosen to be relied on in almost all existing sectors of the world be it Banking and Payments, Cyber security, Forecasting or Networking. The biggest praise worthy aspect of Blockchain is that this technology is decentralized which is another reason for its adoption in different fields. But one sector which has not been much enlightened during this scenario is role of Blockchain in education system.

The technology has capabilities to reconstruct education system. These institutions produce range of credentials which are needed for a shared approach to create a database. Fact that current system of certification is not fit for its job is true to some extent. Paper systems can be influenced under fraud or can be lost but Blockchain can help avoid such situations. If blockchain technology is used in this sector, the certificates will be secure and there are chances for gaining actual degrees out of it. Decentralizing MOOCs will help organizers to expand access to the certificates.

An education service is being provided by On-Demand Education Marketplace with a cheaper and more accessible education plans for students. A four year degree is a long time and by the time the degree is complete, students are under heavy debts. ODEM cuts the middleman and connects students directly to professors which saves time and money. The process goes through Blockchain which makes it more trustworthy and transparent. Almost 200 professors from top universities have been appointed by ODEM in a partnership with Excelorators. 

ODEM tokens or ODEMT would be used to facilitate international payments as a part of transactions. These tokens will be live by Feb 17 and if not sold by March 19, these will be further live till the tokens get sold. To verify identity of an investor, a KYC process will be implemented. Also, Anti-money laundering measures have been included in the plans by the company. This will ensure the legal participation of contributors in ICO.

Blockchain will be a remarkable success in the field of education clearly. Access to important documents will help in building trust during job interviews and honest performance would be appreciated. Transparent system will be an end to hindrance caused to education.
