How blockchain can improve public safety

in blockchain •  6 years ago

In 2014, tension over police-community relations in Boston, Chicago and New York made headlines. Riots and protests erupted after a series of high-profile police-involved shootings came to light, mostly captured through amateur cellphone videos. And while these videos stirred public sentiment, persistent issues with the admissibility, authenticity and interpretation of this digital evidence mitigated their effect on final verdicts in a court of law.

hi @rufusfirefly

Thanks for your memo and sharing link to your post with me. I upvoted both of them but I found it hard to drop any comment since you're redirecting traffic out from Steemit (and personally I do not follow any links to any sites which I do not recognize).

Yours
Piotr

I understand your caution. You can rest assured that I'm only linking to legitimate sites like Nature Magazine. I occasionally from the links to remove origin information like newsletters.

Dear @rufusfirefly

I know you well enough to have some basic trust. But other people may not have that trust. So you would lose some of your traffic.

And worst of all is the fact, that I cannot engage with you or anyone else on those sites.

I wouldn't like you to give up on Steemit because of lack of engagement. But I've seen many people sharing links to other sites and I never experienced even one succesful user who would do that.

Just sharing my view.

Yours
Piotr
