YOU ARE MY 300
i'm about to reach 200 followers on steemit.
hmmm, what does that actually mean, does it help me be anymore useful here, how do i gauge that? it certainly feels like the first time i had a number of people following me over on twitter - 2006 seems so long ago now, eleven years since i first signed up on twitter and i have over 10,000 followers on twitter. so what. ..
let’s talk about followers vs engagement for a moment. what’s the power of a lurker if they are just watching, not engaging, not talking, not feeding back or commenting, is it just a vanity feels that you have a large number of people following but not engaged? is it just navel gazing that we are have a large unconnected audience being nosey, are they REALLY interested or are they just following for the information, visual treats or link sharing, if they don’t engage and you don’t engage with them you’ll never know.
i kinda prefer this phase better than the 10,000 big numbers, these early formative growth areas are my favourites, these are the people that will become the active audience when you dig deep, the legacy people, the 300 warriors that will hold the social crypto pass from anti social intruders. think about that for a moment.
MIDDLEMEN VS THE BLOCKCHAIN
three hundred active, engaged, legacy driven strong brand advocates of you, what you do, what you share, the road plan you have shared and taken over the year, living out what you believe in, delivering on what you say you are and what you want to achieve, living out your dreams together digitally - now add to that the blockchain open, realtime, authentic layer, your actions transacted to prove that the words and videos you create have real world ties, people can validate, authenticate your words and actions.
it’s like having your own virtual 300 strong PA team of brand advocates fighting your corner. then apply those 300 people with lots of steam power, what if your successes in the real world were distributed into the crypto world, what if you had an army that you could call on in digital need. three hundred global active digital soldier that can hold of the onslaught of the barrage of white noise anti social commentary.
adaptive, smart, fact finding, empowering and empowered to help each cryostasis of mis-information and fake news. what if together we cross referenced and looked out like a global support network where our time was our value and that value was digitally cross linked with an economic system that helped with your daily human requirements, i.e steemit. ..
while i’m PUMPED that i’m getting near 200, i’m gonna be pumped when i’m near 300 because i want to engage each and everyone of you, why you followed, these initial followers are the crest of the wave, the tsunami edge of people awake, aware and active. these are the people that make things happen, globalisation does not have to be about dominance of the assets and your wallet, we have an opportunity to develop our own hive mind, our own blockchain powered un artificial intelligence.
