Weekly Contest
This week’s challenge was simple, fun and for the poetic at heart. The contestants were to write a “Haiku” using the words, ‘Telos’ and ‘Africa’. The idea was to come up with a short poem using very few words as creatively as possible. A Haiku is a simple poem with 3 lines in a 5-7-5 format. Unlike the more common poems, the lines rarely rhyme but the Haiku is distinguished by its unique structure in which the first and third lines have 5 syllables while the second line has 7 syllables. See example below;
- Telos Africa (5 syllables; Te/los/Af/ri/ca)
- Spread the word to everyone (7 syllables; spread/the/word/to/eve/ry/one)
*Spread the Telos love (5 syllables; Spread/the/Te/los/love)
We had a total of 5 entries and all entries were rewarded. However, we have 2 winners who followed the poem’s rules and still turned out to be very artistic and beautiful.
THE WEEKLY WINNERS
- 1st place: Zizymena Davies
- 2nd place: Okunade Iyanuoluwa
BLOCKCHAIN COLLABORATION
In other news, the Telos4Africa team will be representing the global team live at the EOS Invasion conference. There, we will be fulfilling our mandate to form healthy liaisons with other blockchain communities, impact lives and spread the Telos gospel to the African community. There would be several other blockchain communities represented at the event and an unquantifiable wealth of knowledge would be shared. Of course, there would also be Telos giveaways and all interested participants should be armed with a working Telos account to be able to benefit from it. The conference schedule and details are below;
Date: 15th February, 2020
Venue: J. F. Ajayi Auditorium, Unilag, Lagos
Time: 11am
