Late January 2018 I signed up to become a member of Access Malaysia. After attending their first major Blockchain event in Cyberjaya I was quite impressed with what they were trying to do to promote the Industry in Malaysia and I wanted to show my support and be a part of it all.
Yesterday, almost 1.5 years since their formation, Access Malaysia held their AGM and it gave me a chance to meet other members, share feedback and present ideas. Being the early riser that I am I found myself over at Oasis Damansara, got my coffee fix and waited for everyone to arrive. As far as AGM's go, this was fun, informal and felt more like a networking session.
Ok I won't lie, I heard there was going to be breakfast and since I was up early I decided not to miss it! Not just that though, we had a great lunch and snacks before we finished up. Did I mention the lunch was "sedap"? Food was just an additional highlight of course, as the event kicked off with a few presentations from Sinegy, one of 21 Digital Asset Exchanges in Malaysia and visiting from Singapore we had (aptly named) Foodchain and Vardiz who is helping to grow the ecosystem here in Malaysia.

We created sub-committees as part of the expansion process and I'm happy to announce I'll be leading the charge for the "Marketing, PR & Creative" committee along with fellow Steemian @bitrocker2020! It's an exciting time for Blockchain in Malaysia and to be a part of an industry body like Access is great for my career. To close out the AGM we held a luck draw and thanks to a certain Isaac Lim (for not being there for the lucky draw) I WON! Hahahaha!
