Am Mittwoch das zweite Halbfinale wieder nur mit Mannschaften aus Europa.

On Wednesday the second semi-final again only with teams from Europe.

 VS

England spielt gegen Kroatien. Es scheint, als wäre England bei dieser WM für den Titel bereit und ich sehe die Engländer auch als 60:40 Favorit. Unterschätzen sollte man aber die kompakte Mannschaft aus Kroatien nicht und kämpfen werden die Kroaten in jedem Fall bis zum Schluß. Ich sage 1:1 nach 90min, aber in der Verlängerung gewinnt England dann klar mit 3:1.

England plays against Croatia. It looks like England are ready for the title at this World Cup and I also see the English as a 60:40 favorite. But you should not underestimate the compact team from Croatia and in any case the Croats will fight until the end. I say 1: 1 after 90 minutes, but in extra time England wins clearly with 3: 1.

      Obwohl ich England auch etwas stärker einschätze als Kroatien, fände ich es besser, wenn sie die Franzosen im Finale schlagen. Das hätte schon den Vorteil, daß weder Frankreich noch England einen zweiten Titel bekommen würden. Und jemand neues im Reigen der Weltmeister wäre ja auch mal ganz nett. Allerdings muß man die Aufbauleitung und den völligen Umbruch, der gelungen zu sein scheint, in der englischen Mannschaft durchaus würdigen.
