It's been already semi-confirmed in the show, though. When Bran visits Tower of Joy flashback and sees Ned holding Lyanna's baby, camera focuses on the baby's face. Then, the next scene is direct jump to Jon's face. What creators wanted to tell with this scene change is obvious enough for me (:
