My new pet, meet Percy. the green spotted puffer

in blog •  7 years ago

I am in fact more attracted to tropical fish than going to the pub and drinking with mates, this might sound strange but this has been the way for about 10 years of my life.

I have been known to buy tropical fish instead of buying food for me to eat, my obsession is really that bad.

In my house, I have a few tanks, well 11. but only 6 right now are set up and running, I have 5 tanks in my kitchen, I am just glad my wife loves me enough to cope with all the mess.

In my living room, I have a good tank that houses my lake Malawi fish, I have only just turned this tank into their home, it was after visiting a friend and falling in love with his tank that I decided to keep these. so many colours and they are so active.

Today I made a home for my new green spotted puffer fish, I have had my eye on him for so long and I decided that today was the day he came home with me.

I have given him his own tank that is 4 foot long and will easily house him into adulthood, At the moment he is in fresh water as that is what he was sold to me in. but as he gets older he will be going into brackish water and maybe even into a marine tank.

I have only just turned the tank light on so he could settle into his home and cause him less stress and then the chance of him lasting through the night increases.

I just feed him some nice ramshorn snails as I took these pictures.

hope you like him, and don't forget to say hi26553083_10156165608104455_991701963_n.jpg.
