Delivering pizza is probably one of the easiest jobs to do in the world, anyone with a car and class two insurance can do it, and if you know a area it can be a dodal.
I have gotten to know the area where I am at the minute and I find 90% of the customers easy to find, and this is because I have applied a little technique to remembering people and their address.
So for example some customers have little quirks about them, and I'll explain.
3 times a week I go to the crazy lady's house to deliver her found, why do I call her the crazy lady? well she is a real nut job.
I can go to her house one day and she won't even know that she has ordered her food, other times she tells me that she didn't order and other times she will be that excited that she will give me a 20p tip.
This customer stands out because everyday she is different and it is something to remember her by.
Another customer I go to has a massive beard and then one day he said to me, I am growing this to keep me warm during the ice age, I said to him, you mean winter? he replied "no the Ice age is coming"
Every day he orders and he tells me how many mm's of hair it has grown since he last told me, I am always nice to him as he is a customer, but sometimes I really do think he needs HELP.
Then there is this black guy who I go to he tries his look to get his food free every time I go to his house, he always orders 2 lots of chicken and chips and a cheese pizza, it comes to £12.50, he always tells me that its expensive and he wants to give me a fiver for it.
Then there is the gay couple who really like me, I find them really nice and they always like a good chat when I come to the door, they are really in love and all over each other, it makes me think of ross and rachel from friends. but the men versions.
You see I watch people, this works for me to remember where these people live and that gives me the edge that I need to get to the customers faster than a sat nav can direct me to them.
