On Tinder, Roadtripping and Being Ghosted

Here's a tale about two people who met on Tinder. They started texting on Tinder for a few months, but they lived in different countries, the thing is they matched when the girl was on vacations but didn't have the time to meet when they were in the same city. It didn't matter to them, they still kept talking. After several weeks, the guy decides to tell her he is planning a trip to her country, so maybe they can meet. Everything sounds great and they are both super excited.

There's still this scary factor since they don't know each other in person and they are both taking a lot of risks. weeks go by, the guy finally arrives to her city. They meet at his hotel lobby, they seem to be getting along. She has her bags packed because they planned to road trip together if they liked each other and none of them seemed like a serial killer.

They get along just fine, they feel like they are old friends who re encounter each other after some time. They both decide to pick up a rental car and hit the road.

The trip starts. They drive and they laugh and share stories, everything seems wonderful. They keep traveling for a week. and then, he decides it is time to go back.

She feels kind of sad, but knows those were the conditions since the beginning. He leaves and decides to ghost her.

She feels crushed, so she sends him a message through couch surfing which is the only place he forgot to block her telling him he is a total jerk and that next time he should act like a grown up and at least let her know he will be cutting off all communication with her. He replies he has some "issues"...

Time goes by, she forgets about him, then he texts her out of the blue "I am so sorry, you are great but I went back to my ex and she asked me to block you".
The girl in the story was me. The guy was a jerk. The road trip was still pretty awesome.

Well I do have to accept I am not afraid of taking chances :)
