We all know that all of these technologies that surround us so well do not really affect our health. Yet it sounds ridiculous that wireless signals that have filled the invisible space around us are subject to conspiracy theories against humanity.
Well, there were people who believed in it. "My face is red, my head is sick, my vision is broken, it hurts even when I think. The last time I was exposed to Wi-Fi, I also had chest pain, which is life-threatening to me, "says Diane Shaw.
She is one of the five percent Americans who believe they are suffering from Electromagnetic Hypersensitivity (EHS). Symptoms include skin burns, muscle tremors, chronic pain, and what not. The most common reason for this is mobile phones, wireless internet and other electronic devices. In short, these people are allergic to modern times.
Not that we do not respect their beliefs or underestimate their health problems, but for non-allergy, it really sounds like another theory of conspiracy.
Shaw's husband builds for her a special tree cage and two layers of wire mesh blocking the harmful signals. She spends most of her time there until she finds her paradise on the ground, the Green Bank town of West Virginia.
There, wireless signals are banned within a radius of 20,000 kilometers, so there will be no interference in giant radio telescopes in the area. None of the residents have a cell phone and people breathe freely.
The BBC reported that the town is enjoying many new settlers who yearn for a normal life ... For some normal, for another madness. Point of view ;)
