January 24th is National Compliment Day and we at ChoreRelief™ are very grateful to all the independent service providers on our platform. To highlight how amazing and human the providers are, we wanted to do something different for our weekly blog post. Instead of sharing chore ideas for you to hire providers to help you complete this weekend, we sought to share with you the reasons why providers do what they do. How do they view the meaning of work?
We asked our providers the simple question: “what does work actually mean to you” and were stirred by their heartwarming answers. Here are some of our favorites:
Joanna Shelton
Joanna Shelton speaks about what work means
“Work to me is a chance to express my skills, talents, ingenuity and inspiration. I pledge to live by the saying, “it takes a village…” and it is absolutely important to me to be an expressive contributor. I often replace the word “work” with “play!”
Mathias Cruz
Mathias Cruz speaks about what work means
“It means resolve, self- sacrificing spirit, desire and good principles. To me, working for ChoreRelief is a manifestation of all of those good qualities.”
Keaton Lane
Keaton Lane speaks about what work means
“Work is what permits my family to enjoy life. And I want to relish working. All the effort I put into working, and the assets I build from it, enriches my personal life. In other words, I work to live!”
Waylon Henderson
Waylon Henderson speaks about what work means
“Work is a way to mix my needs for being of use to others at the same time as I make my path in the world to provide for my family and me. There is a ying/yang symbiosis to how ChoreRelief enables this in my life.”
