Google My Business
This morning I looked into and signed up for Google My Business. I knew about it already but didn't look into it any further because I am not a geographically based business. However, a couple of days ago, I nominated my business for review on UpCity.com.
UpCity.com is a digital marketer curation site. They require a Google My Business account for nomination, so I went ahead and did it. Seems like it can't hurt. Maybe I can get a few backlinks from it.
Currently, I'm waiting for a verification post card from Google and then I will get into the account and what it is likely to be able to do for SEO.
NextCloud
This is something a little bit special to Flying-Higher, it would seem. For such a powerful and simple tool that pretty much everyone is likely to find some use out of, I can't find a whole lot of info on the web. Talk about an opportunity!
I use NextCloud mostly as a file server for clients, but I just upgraded it and installed the Talk plugin. The talk plugin allows for video calls and chats, screen sharing and using the groupware features (calendar, contacts, notes, etc) and just so much more. I'm going to be testing it a lot now and I can see where it will be a huge asset.
It can even be used for webinars, apparently.
State of the Articles
I have all of the main ones done except the video production ones and the documentary one.
Well, I should say that they are started.
In order to hope to compete for SEO, which is a main goal of mine, each topic needs to be as thorough and concise as possible. In the range of 900 words per article seems to be the sweet spot, but fundamentally, it just needs to answer the search. Each subtitle theoretically can also be broken down into a thoroughly researched article as well. That is a lot of work.
I love it though. I really enjoy every part of this process. It is a lot more taxing on the noggin than I feel it should be at times, but I know that people don't grow if they aren't stretching.
