The War For Normal.
The year began in a state of war. Donald Trump's victory caused a wave of liberal trauma, and an open SJW rebellion of riots and violence spilled into the bloody January streets.
Become ungovernable. Weird wars on trash cans. Punching nazis.
Here at the dawn of 2018, it's hard to believe that until only a year ago, America had enjoyed a nearly unbroken string of 240 consecutive years of consensus agreement affirming the cultural ideal of non-violence with respect to domestic political opponents.
Punching Richard Spencer was a microcosm for the AltRight macrocosm. As Frog Twitter and the MAGA-pedes continued life as normal, liberals, centrists, SWPLs and SJWs alike were daily bombarded with relentless media propaganda carrying the message: are these normal times? do normal rules apply? If not, is it okay to punch, censor and no-platform literally everyone we don't like?
The New York Times asked When Is Speech Violence?
The Huffington Post endorsed open violence in the streets.
The Washington Post equated gif memes to actual violence.
In 2016, we were called Deplorables. In 2017, anyone to the right of boomer-era neocons was labeled a straight-up Nazi.
The SJW Battle Plan
After 2016, The Year The Trolls Won, America was on the precipice of a total populist revolution. Alternative media was experiencing exponential growth. Normies were being redpilled by the thousands on YouTube, Facebook and Twitter. And now, a populist President was controlling the executive branch, with a Republican Congress, Senate and Supreme Court.
The media was losing its grip. Under normal rules, and a normal political transition, American cultural norms, after 60 years of SJW identity politics, would slowly get painted with an Altright/AltLight aesthetic. Normalization of Trump would mean the end of normalization of progressivism.
Fearing this shift in momentum, SJWs devised a plan to undercut the normal political process by launching The Great Anti-Normalization Campaign of 2017. First leaked in a Media Matters / Shareblue memo, the left-wing mass media megaphone would blare this is not normal and encourage SJWs to wage culture war in the streets, in the academy, on TV, and online.
Perhaps the best commentary on this dynamic was in SNL's epic skit, "Trump Dog."
Core American values such as free speech, free association, and open debate were called fascist, to be aschewed in favor of a full-scale endorsement of mass Internet censorship and de-platforming of all transgressive thought. Whatever it takes to take on the trolls.
• Reddit banned r/altright, then quarantined r/the_donald and its 400,000 subscribers, forever banishing any right-wing posts from reaching the reddit home page.
• Facebook mass banned meme pages and issues lifetime bans to wrongthinkers, then unveiled "Fake News" and teamed up with biased Snopes to quell the rise of right-wing media.
• Twitter forged a Trust and Safety Counsel packed with the most flagrantly SJW affiliate groups assembled since Gamergate. It then mass de-verified accounts of genuinely verified individuals - purely as punishment for holding AltLight/AltRight beliefs - then hired the Jewish censorship squad Anti-Defamation League to help it purge the platform of Nazis (pro tip: if you're reading this, you're a Nazi). Communists were all spared though.
• YouTube joined forces with the ADL and hired 10,000 minimum wage slaves to scrub wrongthink from its video platform. When that didn't work, they deployed high-tech artificial intelligence algorithms to undo the AltRight's rising influence.
All of this was justified in the left-wing academic hivemind by The Paradox Of Tolerance. This gem of a theory, first postulated by George Soros's favorite philosopher, Karl Popper, found new life as a cultural cudgel in 2017 and was proudly trumpeted everywhere from Planet Hollywood to the toilet paper media.
The AltRight Splinters Into AltRight and AltLight
Meanwhile, the AltRight, having been so successful in 2016, suffered growing pains without any centralized leadership to guide it in a post-election world. After being renounced by President Trump and under intense pressure from SJWs hate-framing the AltRights as Nazis writ large, the most mainstream members of the AltRight - Milo Yiannopoulos, Mike Cernovich, Paul Joseph Watson, Alex Jones, Lauren Southern, and others - splintered off into a brand new species: The AltLight. The AltLight was an America First nationalist group like the AltRight, but it wholly renounced race realism and the JQ.
This Alt Civil War, combined with mass de-platforming from social media and de-monetizing from YouTube, radically reduced the total Troll Power of the AltRight, at a critical moment when it once had all the momentum. While off-platform sites like Mike Enoch's TRS podcast and Andrew Torba's Gab experienced banner years for growth, gains were offset by the loss of hundreds of thousands of followers to the AltLight and to left-wing censorship.
Limited online success spurred the AltRight's next logical step: to take to the streets, in real life, in demonstrations across the country from Berkeley to Charlottesville. These events were generally successful until Antifa would arrive, assault everyone, then work in tandem with the mainstream media to blame Trump supporters for the violence.
Divisions were heightened when Gab - the Internet's last pure free speech social media platform - was forced to censor a post from Andrew Anglin, then ultimately kick Weev off the platform entirely, lest its domain be pulled from the Internet. This drama followed the historically unprecedented move by domain hosts such as GoDaddy and Google, and key Internet infrastructure providers such as Cloudflare, unilaterally deciding to boot a person from the Internet entirely, purely because that person supported White identity. That person was Andrew Anglin and his popular site, The Daily Stormer. The same unprecedented Orwellian unpersoning would later happen to another popular White identitarian website, Stormfront.
The Fight For White Identity would mean a Battle For The Soul Of The Internet itself.
BTFOing The Resistance
The AltRight's online troll racked up a number of notable wins in 2017 against left-wing counterparts - dubbing themselves The Resistance despite controlling 90% of mainstream media and the institutional power of social media - but few more spectacular than the epic trolling of Shia LeBoeuf.
After staging was to be a 4-year livestream camera in NYC where SJWs could whine about losing the 2016 presidential election, 4chan trolls, with help for r/the_donald and Frog Twitter, rushed in uproot the stream, personally, in the real world.
It was an epic moment where the AltRight emerged from online to enter the IRL arena. And they won.
There was no more epic speech, perhaps in the whole of 2017, than this rousing diatribe by an intrepid Based Asian on the HWNDU livestream.
Other Notables:
• The AltRight successfully appropriated the term Fake News after the left-wing media invented the term to destroy alternative media. Then the MSM panicked and tried to persuade the entire country to stop using the term once they lost control of it.
• Murdoch Murdoch started producing such high quality videos that their YouTube series became the first official cartoon series of the AltRight.
• MSM lied constantly, openly and egregiously about the Nothing Burger that is the discredited Red Scare "Russian meddling" narrative. They said Russians hacked a Vermont power grid (DIDN'T HAPPEN). They said 17 intelligence agencies all agreed Russia meddled in the election (FALSE: It was only 4, and only a handful of anti-Trump stooges there with zero evidence). They said that Trump ordered Michael Flynn to contact Russian officials before winning the election (FALSE: It was after the election, you know, when he was, like, actually President).
• SJW student protests absolutely rocked the liberal college establishment, with an absolutely unprecedented shitfest at Evergreen College. This kind of SJW rebellions to dominate campuses have been going on since the 1960s, but this was the first one caught so vividly on tape and shared in mainstream media. Of course, my viral video showing a 10 minute compilation of simple raw footage sharing that SJWs harassing and bullying teachers, administrators and White people was removed by YouTube for - you guessed it - harassment and bullying.
• The AltRight launched a massively successful campaign - It's Okay To Be White - that took the American college system by storm. It was the first proactive White identitarian social media campaign in the vein of a viral hashtag, a la Black Lives Matter. And the reactions were glorious.
In my next post, we'll look to the year ahead. In the meantime, Happy New Years guys.
Keep up the good work buddy.
