Post partum depression.

My autovoter thinks the place has died.
I can't tell that much has changed in the daily stats, but I clearly see that most of the 250 folks I've autovoted for the last three years sure have stopped posting.

Must be a bunch of newbs keeping the stats up.

This doesn't feel like 'fun' anymore... :>(

I think that was the plan.
10 years from today steem will still be running, but the folks that get it now for next to nothing will have most of it and its value will reflect that.
If you think steem is going to go up, getting rid of holders now increases one's control of the currency then.

But, you are right, the wind has come out of our sails.
It should return when the whales stop flopping around.

I think that was the plan.

I tend to suspect the 'same'... Most communication between 'key players' give indication that steem/steemit was geared towards 'business' ventures primarily. Wasn't it Dan or Ned who stated that they felt "People shouldn't get paid for blogging"...??? It definitely was 'one' of them.

They also stated that their 'main interest', was to have APPs developed that would catch on with users, using the Steem blockchain to fuel growth. It is the way it is and that's fine in my opinion, as long as open honesty about 'intent' prevailed, which most new 'onboarded' users were misled into believing a false narrative.

Many of the top-dogs disagree with the above assessment posed by anyone in the past, and often with a snarling vengeance. Yes...they didn't always 'hide' behind fakery, greed and outright 'theft' at times...sometimes they were 'right in your face' with the truth that many innocents could not fully grasp, or 'believe'.

The 'believers' seemed stuck in an attitude of 'not' wanting to trust in their personal perceptions of what this place was, as apposed to what they were lead to 'expect' and 'hoped/yearned' for.

Perhaps Hive will be the 'Steem' that could have been, or 'Steem' in the future will transform into something of more value to the average user, in some unexpected way?

Personally...I'm not here or on Hive now to be an accusatory adversary, savior or martyr...I'm here for the experience, of which I'm hopeful will be/become mostly beneficial in whatever direction chosen. This doesn't mean I wouldn't get into 'the fight' at times...but, I'm always of the mindset "Nobody is preventing me from leaving" should I choose too, flipping the finger on my way out the door :>)

Note to Self: Time to stop this exceptionally gifted 'rant' now and smoke a bowl perhaps...

Lol, therapeutic dose, now!

Yeah, it is what it is.
I think a big packet of wtf?! will be opened up when that dead whale stake wakes up.
Then we'll have to wait for it to dump.
Might be a while before we get more than a good time for doing this.

Oh yeah...that resurrection of the dead whale stake...!!! A factor of mysterious consequences to be mindful of :>|

I may be the only one even bringing it up.
If you look on arcange's stats posts, it is as much as the rest of the us have.
Look at how much trouble the whales have been to this point with <30% of the dead whale's stake.
I hope you are diversifying.

Yes...I'm always with the thought of diversification, thanks. Now that I'm into Crypto Currency, I consider it just another type investment with potential and diversify within it as well :>)

By the look of the recent Hive stats it seems most folks have likely given up on DPoS governance. Just awaiting total power down for that to be my case as well.

Nah, I read that as bots have stopped botting.
There never have been many original posters here.
It's been mostly bots with databases of material.
Imo.

A very interesting insight. Towards the end (pre-Hive) it was seeming like a very small place. It became common for me to bump into others one was following on unrelated posts.

My autovoter has taken a nap.
I'm not voting twenty people a day.
