My Grandmother loved chickens. Not real ones but decorative ones. I guess it was inevitable she had a chicken, or in this case rooster, ashtray. I don't know if this is some kind of souvenir ashtray, some advertisement, or if it's just something she bought. There are a lot of ashtrays in this style with different advertisements on them. Even have a couple of plain ones. That means it could be from just about anything. Only thing I do know is it's old. Probably from the 50's or 60's. It probably wasn't used since there is no visible damage on the paint.
