Shallow Thoughts
I experienced an "ice storm" for the first time tonight. . . apparently when the lower atmosphere is colder than the upper atmosphere, the rain falls and then freezes shortly after making contact with whatever object it accumulates on. Fortunately the roads were warm enough to prevent black ice, but there were still some interesting sights. Here's the ice tree:

The picture of the ice tree is amazing! A really pretty shot! I've never experienced this kind of weather, it's very fascinating to me.

It was the first time I had experienced it as well, couldn't believe that the rain could freeze like that. I was taking pictures in a grocery store parking lot at night, must have looked very strange to the people passing by!
