The art of the Star Wars (SWtoR) - Companions concept art

It's the new post in my Star Wars the Old Rerubloc series of posts, and concept art again. Going through this artbook is increadible pleasere. Being an artist myself I need a place to seek for inspiration, and I try to use all aviable materials.

Artbooks are my old passion.Yes, most of the are aviable to dawnload, but I love to have them "in paper". Nearly nothing can be better then to have a nice cup of tea and slowly look through these awesome creations of other artists, seeking for interesting tips and clues. 

Before I started drawing myself ost of time I wasn't paying any attention on details. Now when I watch a movie, play a game, watch a cartoom ao just walk down the street I try to focus of details everywhere, and sometimes I do it unconciosuly. It's an awesome feeling - noticing things you never noticed before. 

Well, it was a lyric introduction. Now let's go through some SWtoR concept art together:

I hope this time this first picture will not be decapitated on the preview. Here we have the final concept art of a companion character, sexy twilek. Don't you find them sexy?:) I always loved how twileks look in the movie, and seems like the inhabitants of the Star Wars universe agree with me. Their lecku are just adorable:)

Wookie appears only in the second part of the game. At least I didn't notice a single one in the first part. Here concept artists had not much work, the concept of the race was earlierdeveloped by the movie creators.

Sith trooper is a strange characterintic, isn't it? The game gives us a chpoise of four characters for each, dark and light side, and only two of them (for each side again) are firce-users. Personaly I played only for force users myself, but I tryed bounty hunter. Didn't succeed:)

My favorite part, sketches. They have so much more life, then finished artworks. I could look at them for ages:)

How cool is that? Black lines form the shapes without shading and midtones, it's simply wonderful! One thing exites me most: how do people create naturaly looking faces of such tiny size? When I draw a face it mush be BIG:) But I hope one day I'll study how to draw smaller ones too:)
