@eliakon, I like this story. I don't think I ever wanted any of the things that you mentioned (although I got most of them anyways). This is certainly a great example of the expression "the grass is always greener on the other side". Watching my kids grow up now, I see this happen a lot in their lives, where they wish for the thing that they don't have, without really knowing if it's any better. Thanks for the post, it was cute and well written!
