So, Cedar Fair (A Theme Park Company) on August 16, 2017 Announced their 4 new rides coming to their parks next year! So let's review what are these 4 coasters and where are they going to.
So, first on our list is RailBlazer coming to California's Great America in you guessed it...California in 2018! So, this is a one of a kind coaster with a single rail track design and the track is about 15 inches in length...THAT IS CRAZY (When you think about it)! This will be a prototype by RMC (Rocky Mountain Construction) and the other prototype is going to Six Flags Fiesta Texas. Anyway, this coaster seats 1 person per car, there will be 8 cars per train, and there will be 3 trains running at a time. It's height is 106 feet tall, speeds up to 52 mph, will have a 90 degree drop, will feature 3 inversions, and will have a track length of 1,800 feet of track. This will be a revolutionary coaster to California's Great America and I am excited for this ride!
So, our next coaster on our list is HangTime coming to Knott's Berry Farm in California in 2018! This coaster is the first ever Dive Coaster coming to the West Coast! It will be 150 feet tall, speeds up to 57 mph, will have a 96 degree drop, will feature 5 inversions, will have a track length of 2,198 feet of track, and will have a 2 second hang over the drop! Unfortunately, Knott's Berry Farm hasn't Released a P.O.V yet but we will see one soon, so this is a P.O.V done by another guy to show you what the P.O.V will be like. Anyway, this will be done by Gerstlauer (A German RollerCoaster Manufacturer) and this will be an Infinity Coaster and will be the 2nd of its kind in the United States. This took the Former spot of Boomerang and this will be a great edition to Knott's Berry Farm and a good replacement of Boomerang!
Another coaster on this list is Twisted Timbers coming to Kings Dominion in Doswell, Virginia in 2018! This is a RMC (Rocky Mountain Construction) Hybrid Coaster but used to be Hurler a wooden coaster that nobody loved. So, this year RMC is going to come out strip the wooden track of Hurler and make it a brand new Hybrid Coaster (Which are very smooth coasters) called TWISTED TIMBERS!! This will have a height of 111 feet, reach speeds up to 54 mph, will have a track length of 3,361 feet of track (Which is Longer than what Hurler's Track length was), will have 3 Inversions, a total of 20 airtime moments, and will have a 109 foot Barrel Roll drop! I think this is an amazing edition to Kings Dominion and this is what they needed in their line up and now they have a almost complete line up of amazing coasters!
So, I saved the best for last on this list and this coaster is going to be the Longest, Tallest, and Fastest Hybrid Coaster in the World is STEEL VENGEANCE coming to Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio in 2018! This Coaster breaks 10 world Records and they are Tallest Hybrid Coaster in the world, First Hyper Hybrid, Fastest in its class, Longest in its class, Steepest Drop in its class, Most inversions in its class, Longest drop in it's class, Fastest airtime hill in its class, Most airtime In the world, Most airtime in its class! THAT IS INSANE HOW MUCH WORLD RECORDS IT BREAKS!!!! This Coaster stands at 205 feet high, reaches speeds up to 74 mph, has a drop of 200 feet, the drop has an angle of descent of 90 degrees, has 27.2 seconds of airtime, includes 4 inversions, and has a track length of 5,740 feet of track. Okay, so this is going to probably be the best coaster of 2018 but you should totally come out to ride this monster next spring and i think this is amazing for Cedar Point doing this but Ridiculous because they literally just got a coaster a year ago but it's okay because this is an edition that everyone including me is really excited for!!!
