Busy Review, well beta talk, comedy and bring the whole family

in blog •  7 years ago

Humm I saw the Busy post and I might be spoiling since the link is in the new domain, but who cares it's open beta anyway, check it out, go to the discord and ask around. :)

So to review how you get on there.

  • Step 1: Go to the main post and find the discord invite, I won't make it too easy xD
  • Step 2: Log in (first time is with your active pass, the following can use either the memo or the posting keys)
  • Step 3: Explore and see how good it feels to have a responsive site.

Minor notes in case of emergencies,

  • Comments don't save so post them :D
  • Everything is great there are still some things getting done, but the site is amazing :)

and add a dtube..

I'm so excited :D

getting busy with it :D

come on grab the kids :)

Now for a quick tutorial, on your left is the navigation, the categories, just begging for a click on the "view more"
Front and center is the content of all you lovely steem authors and on your right is the space you have to produce and be a valuable member of the community :) write, your blog, notifications and all the other good jazz.

Personally I'd keep the wallet a bit off the main menu since people don't send money away every time they sit on the feed and categories I think were properly exposed before whereas now it's a bit different.

I will note on two features, bookmarks which are awesome and collapsible comments so I don't have to flag the @originalcontent .... or the like, begging for witness votes .. shame .. :D oh and I'd probably collapse that side bar with the interesting people :D again usability, not that often I look for more people I'm more into content, the people showcase themselves pretty well anyway.

Now let's see if the DTube is done and I will be leaving this steeming post :)

Almost :)

Well markdown is still necessary in my view, and all the new apps are awesome ..

But daaamn does busy look nice and it handles so beautifully I wonder if it will handle the load steemit is taking as well.

Welcome in the new decentralised blockchain apps :) show some love for viewly as well :)

Make it count, make something good with it :)

hahah Busy.dark :)

Well DTube can sync my IPFS cloud ... that was only two tries and two hours ... this post can't wait :D

Looks cool, I gotta check this out! It'll be great if Busy.org becomes more of a popular alternative to steemit.

any news :) I think there can be improvements, but so far it definitely is, I think the more you move the front-end away from the blockchain clunky operations you are doing great :)

Still letting users know they are using a blockchain, what that entails.. all is important

Did you get on the party :)

Not in there yet but I'll say hi if I do join the discord.

Newbie as I am still can't comprehend all these things but I heard about discord if I'm not mistaken its the chatroom for steemians, have to check it out.

Discord is a java app or something, it's a chat app used by many different breeds of people :D

a lot of people on steem are using it as a chat alternative to the rocket chat endorsed by the main dev team.

you can run it on the browser or on the desktop, even mobile, because the java is supported and runs on it's own virtual machine I suppose, newb as I am I don't want to confuse you any further :D

If you have questions feel free to ask away, be it about steem, steemit, busy, chats or whatever :)
