My welds are still far from professional, but they're coming along. Those breaks you see are intentional. I was trying to get used to adjusting my travel speed at the same time as my decent rate.
More time in the lab would benefit me greatly, but that isn't allowed at this school. Wish I had my own stick welder to practice with.
Anybody have any tips for manager the whole work full-time/school full-time balance? I could really use some as this is starting to run me ragged.
Just don't add anything else to your schedule. Lol. Especially kids lol. Do what you can to eat right and rest. You can do it!!
Welds are looking a ton better nice work. I've been meaning to go take some welding classes but just haven't pulled the trigger. I'm a journeyman lineman by trade. I just want to add welding into my arsenal 😉

It's mad fun!
If you aren't looking for a job you could always just pick up a decent welder and some stock and start practicing. If you want some good books for theory and craft I would recommend Welding Skills (we use 5th edition).
