Hi everyone! Since I'm only starting up blogging with steemit (and also running out of idea what to post), I will introduce myself now and I'm not hoping that most people care but please take a minute or two to read the story of my life and why I'm currently here right now writing blog on steemit.
So to start things up, I am Jeffrey Basbas from the third world country the Philippines, I am not a sporty guy but I do love chess, playing guitar, practicing programming and playing Rubik's cube. I am currently 18 years old, grade 12 taking an IT course in my Senior High. I really love programming ever since I was in my Junior High and starts self-studying with basic codes such as if-else statements, functions, proper naming of variables and lots of stressful bug fixing. The first programming language(actually a scripting language I guess) I learned is AutoHotkey. It is so beginner friendly and very easy to use, I created hangman game with editable word list on it to challenge myself and also to learn and enhance my programming skills too. That also motivates me to go for my dream to become a game developer and as of now, I'm still in my learning process.
I am studying at a school focused on programming but sad to say I am not satisfied nor actually learning something big on it. Grade 11-second semester subject was Basic Java Programming, and I was so very hooked up and every lesson is enjoyable for me since I have an advantage because I self-studied before and also win in an On-The-Spot Java Contest which automatically exempts me on the quarter exam. I also got the highest possible grade on Java subject which makes my parents be proud of me. Then now, currently grade 12 which makes me feel disappointed because I am so hoping that they will continue to teach Java into more of advanced lessons but in reality, they shifted into Oracle SQL which is not my cup of tea. That is so wrong in my opinion, why do they have to change the major subject into another field? From programming to a database. It should be better if they pursue or continue Java so that our knowledge and experience will improve and will get better. Well, I don't have a choice but to face it though.
We are five in our family(me and my two brothers, my father, and my mother), my father is jobless right now but he is a tricycle driver(three-wheel vehicle commonly used for transporting here in the Philippines) for a long time before, a monthly salary of around 3000-4000 pesos or around $60-$80 only, enough for our daily needs. My mother is a babysitter and her monthly is $80 too right now, enough for our school allowances and sometimes not enough for monthly bills which forced them to loan a money in order for our electricity and water bill to stay alive. Now that my father is jobless things got worst and we are poorer than rats and yeah I hope we can climb up from this hole we're stuck in. Poverty is everywhere here in the Philippines, everything is expensive, rice, foods and even a very slow internet connection are so expensive(I am currently using a VPN in order to have a free internet access which I guess is not a good thing to do). Also, have the worst traffic especially in Manila, and then, of course, some corrupted government thingy.
In this situation, I am looking and somehow forced to look for a way to earn money while also trying to maintain my study. Getting a job in a fast food chain as a waiter or something like that can affect study because of schedule of work and sometimes lack of sleep so I look for a way to earn money online, that's when I met bitcoin. I've got interested in bitcoin when I knew that its value is so very high, I've searched for a way to earn bitcoin for free and got stumbled upon freebitco.in and other faucets I forgot. Then I realized, it's not that making much money unless you are lucky enough to hit the jackpot. I joined several bitcoin groups on Facebook and then someone introduced me Auroramine, a cloud-mining site(but actually another HYIP scam which is now down with a lifetime of 26 days) I am so lucky that time because I've registered on the very first day of Auroramine and also share my referral links everywhere which got me a 100+ referrals. I've earned around $40 only on Aurora until it goes dead without investing a money. What happened now on $40? I invest a $5 on Laser.Online after researching and seeing a positive review on it, bought an electroneum ICO(505 ETC) and keeping the remaining money on my bitcoin wallet. I will not gonna spend the money on unnecessary things because my plan was to make it grow so that it can also help me in my allowance on school and also at least to help my parents pay the bills but as of now it is not enough. Then finally, I found this wonderful site where earning a money is quite not a problem with a little to full effort in writing a blog so yeah why not give it a shot! I hope I could share a wonderful content on steemit in the future not just to gain money but also to entertain and share some information to all of you readers.
Right now while I have a free time since its sem-break, I am developing a simple game on Unity Game Engine hoping that it turns out good so that at least I could earn a small money from it through Ads. Thanks to my auntie who gave us a personal computer way back around 10 years before and without this computer I cannot write a blog nor even know that steemit exist, and yep this computer is around 10 years old and still kicking without a problem except for old hardware and full hard drive space lol.
So that's it for now, if you read it this far then thank you so very much! Sorry for bad grammar(if there's some) I'm not that fluent in English, and also sorry for the bad transitioning of content, I'm not a good writer I just write and tell a story for fun:) and I really enjoy it writing this wall of text haha. Thanks again for reading my introduction!

As you only recently joined the steemit community it can be hard to recieve lots of steem power so I suggest you to try out @MinnowPowerUp as you can earn up to 30% more steem power than just powering up with steem directly! It's a subscription based daily upvote bot that draws its power from a delegation pool. I have more info on my experience with the system in this post where I explain how I earn over $1 a day from upvotes.
