Really!? What has just happened? It looks like a perfectly healthy, green, blossoming tree. And suddenly a thick, heavy tree branch breaks off of a tree and falls down, partially covering a car parked beneath the tree. No, there is no storm. There is no wind, let alone strong wind. It's pretty calm! And it's sunny and hot as usual, over 90 degrees Fahrenheit.
Maybe, just maybe, the tree or its branches are dry and brittle? But it's blooming! And looks healthy and green! It's just mind boggling.... Take a look!
And no, it's not my car beneath the broken branch :)
Hmm not sure where you are but here in Hawaii we have something called an Albizia tree, it grows very large and the branches are quite brittle. The leaves look similar to this too, maybe it is related? When there is any wind or disturbance of any sort, large branches randomly fall off of it. You should have seen it when a hurricane came through!

Yeah, maybe this tree is related To Albizia trees, and it apparently has brittle branches since they seem to break off for no apparent reason. It's dry and hot here in Southern California. Maybe the dry climate contributes to the condition of the tree. Interesting though :)
