  1. Make your space more welcoming
We are social beings and that is why we should feel comfortable when we call our friends and close people in our homes. He cared for you to have things in your space that are offered in social relationships such as a barbecue grill, comfortable sofas or armchairs, table games, etc. Moreover, make sure that the layout of your spaces is compatible with the kind of social activities that interest you. If, for example, you are a member of a readers' club, you will probably want your living room to promote dialogue, so huge television should not be there. Also, consider the different personalities of the people you will call at home. The extroverts prefer sofas while the introverters prefer armchairs, so you have to offer choices. Arrange the furniture in a way that your guests can easily get in touch with their eyes but can also turn their attention to something else when they want it like an aquarium, a lit fireplace, a piece of art, or a window with a view.

  2. Watch the lighting of your spaces
Psychologists have long established that light has an impact on our emotions. So when you choose the lighting of your home, consider what kind of feelings you want your spaces to bring. "Hot light" is best for social gatherings and relaxation, while blue and more "cold light" is best when you try to work or analyze something with your mind. So, "cold light" may be better for your office space and "warm light" may be better for living and dining. During the day, open the curtains and keep your windows clean to get the sun into the spaces of your home. The natural light is very good at your disposal. But if a space is blinding because there are many glossy surfaces, the positive effects of natural light disappear because bright light can cause stress.

  3. Make your bedroom as your retreat
Our mood is greatly improved when we "wake up on the right side of the bed" after a good night's sleep. Sleep deprivation has been associated with depression. One way to relax more is to move away from your bedroom anything that reminds you of unpleasant jobs or obligations. If you put your office in your bedroom, it's best to arrange the space so that when you lie down you do not have visual contact with your desk, computer and the piles of cards on it. Ideally, the bedroom should be a place that you should always keep neat. If you can not put all your house in order, try to have at least one room, such as the master bedroom, where you can resort to relax and rest. Heavy curtains can also ensure that the bedroom is dark enough to sleep well. You can open them during the day to let the natural light come into your bedroom. Do you have to straighten your bed in the morning when you wake up? It depends. If you grew up with the rule that a derelict bed is a symptom of clutter, then you have to straighten it. If you did not grow up this way, a derelict bed can really be more attractive when you return home at the end of the day.

  4. Find practical storage solutions
Even if your living spaces are tidy, if every time you open a closet, there are various objects in your head that cause you anxiety. Practical storage methods, such as shoes boxes, are preferable because they are easier to apply. Some people apply storage methods that resemble the Jenga Tower. We all know what happens when you remove the wrong piece! In addition, when you are able to see everything, this helps you not to buy things you already have. If it's simple and easy to find what you're looking for, the 10 or 15 minutes you save from searching can be put into dealing with something that really pleases you.

  5. Choose colors that raise your mood
The color of the walls can affect your mood. The color psychology is an entire field devoted to understanding the effect that colors have on us. Saturation and brightness levels of hues determine how we react emotionally. We are more relaxed and in a more positive mood when we are in places where the colors are not too saturated but relatively bright and we have more energy in places where the colors are more saturated and less bright. Energy-giving colors delight you in places where you work, such as the office, the kitchen, the room you exercise, etc. The less intense
