I was not feeling like cooking a lot,
so I've decided to make Maki-Sushi, which is on my kids favorite food list!!!
Mmm...Maki- Sushi is basically Rolled Sushi...you put raw fish, and just roll it up!
Today I put raw salmon and raw tuna. Salmon is the big fan in the family...
You can put anything you want...doesn't have to be raw fish...Nowadays, there are quite a lot of people don't like raw fish or fish as is in Japan, actually...so you can see rolled sushi with deep-fry chicken o/pork, BBQ flavored meat , and so on...
Oh, and people think you must have bamboo sheet to roll the sushi...No! No! No!
you don't need such thing, just spread the sushi rice on the seaweed sheet, put whatever you want to put it in.. and roll it up (> o <!)
For Sushi rice, if you are cooking one cup of rice,
cook the rice, you just add 1table spoon of sugar, and 2 table spoon of vinegar, and pinch of salt when it's hot. And mix it well and keep mixing until it gets cooler, so you need to use a handy fan ( Uchiwa) when you mix!!! but if you can be bothered doing it, then just mix it well at the beginning, and once it mixed well, just leave it till gets cold...because that's what I do...using handy fan and all that is for professional people do...lazy people like me do not use it...lol
the fact is the taste does not change...so I always leave it!!!!!
