3 must-have apps to edit images from 2014 to NOW

in blog •  5 years ago

Don't think you have enough time or creativity to create stunning images that help your online business?

Today I'll talk about three mobile apps that will allow you to create fantastic visual content, producing amazing images, in real-time and on the go, and without the need to use complicated design tools.

# 1. Wordswag

You may have heard me put WordSwag App in the clouds - compulsively - over the last few weeks. It is a small, versatile, and intuitive application that I exhibited at the Social Media Marketing World event, 2014 (#SMMW14).

The app will allow you to select any appointment or text, add a font, and... boom! Get sophisticated visual content ready to be shared.

WordSwag has amazing templates that give you the ability to create images accompanied by text, and that will look like they're made by a designer when it's just you, your iPhone, and your app!

Pretty cool typography, isn't it?

Want an example of how easy it is to create images with WordSwag? I recently spoke with a lot of enthusiasm about the app on my Create Traffic Driving Images Facebook group, and one of the community members, Director of Health and Business Kylie Patchett, decided to start right away and created this image.

Your comment on the app was this: "'I love it! Here's my picture, in less than 3 minutes, and without getting out of bed!"

With WordSwag in your pocket, you will become a mobile content creator... without moving one you laptop!

Of course, I couldn't resist, and I answered with this one... which, as I promised, I presented at the Social Media Marketing World event:

In a few minutes, you can create stunning images ready to be shared (or start a WordSwag battle with a friend, whatever you want!).

Do you think the audience got excited when I published these slides? Well, yes! In fact, they were jagged and applauded. That is the reaction generated by the tools that save us time and are able to create great images.

Download WordSwag and start testing it. You'll be creating images like these in the blink of an eye:

Ideal for...

Instagram and Facebook. The app creates square-shaped images, but they will also adapt well to other platforms.

What I like

Excellent typographic templates built into the app, although you can buy extras at low prices.

You have the option to upload photos from your gallery or take the screenshots directly from WordSwagg.

It's simple to use: go in and start creating.

The app is equipped with some interesting images and backgrounds and allows you to choose different font colors.

ANDROID USERS: It's also available for android users. But if you want to use WordSwag on pc! No worries. Just use an emulator.

# 2. InstaQuote

I've been using InstaQuote for a while, and it's been my favorite dynamic app until I discovered WordSwag. It's great for creating Instagram-ready images.

In the words of InstaQuote himself: "Beautify your words and share them on Instagram."

Here's a screenshot of the app in iTunes:

Ideal for...

Instagram and share on Facebook as well.

What I like

Although InstaQuote doesn't have as many fonts and templates as WordSwag, I like it for its simplicity.

You'll be able to publish an appointment quickly and easily, and it has different sources and attractive backgrounds. Plus, the ability to upload your own images is a plus!

Everyone who has a smartphone is a visual content creator! – Tweet it!

# 3. A Beautiful Mess

I discovered A Beautiful Mess a long time ago, and it's a handy addition to your portable image creation arsenal.

What I like about this app is that it includes a lot of handmade doodles by the creators, which can add an informal style to your images. Again, it allows you to upload your own funds and also purchase new design packs from the app store. It is available for both iPhone and Android.

Here are some examples of designs from the A Beautiful Mess website:

Rhonna Designs Bonus App (Beware of this one!)

I have to thank my friend and Social Media expert Kim Garst for discovering the editing app by designer Rhonna Farrer. This application will allow you to create amazing image designs and texts.

I say be careful with this since this app is only licensed for personal use. So be careful using it to promote your business. You won't have any problems using your personal Facebook or Instagram account, but avoid using it on your websites or business profiles unless you contact the developer to get a limited commercial license.

This app differs from WordSwag in the fact that it will allow you to make many more custom layouts, using hundreds of smaller components, plus templates and functions (there are a lot of headers, slogans, and inspiring phrases). It's a total photo editing app with a multitude of components that you can change and customize.

It takes a little more time to get used to this app, especially if you create custom images, but it's worth looking at it because the icons and typography are beautiful, and it's full of options.

In case you run out of ideas, you have to buy more designs. Or, if you prefer something simpler, you can use some of the phrases and icons that appear by default like this:

What I like

It's available on iPhone and Android

It has a world of design options. It may take longer to use this app than WordSwag (if you don't just use one icon or design, and combine several), but it's worth it.

What I really like is the ability to create custom sizes. You won't be restricted to square images for Facebook or Instagram. There are also templates that fit Pinterest (size 2:3). The size of the templates is in my opinion a great point in favor of this application. However, you'll need to be aware of license restrictions depending on whether you're creating personal or business content.

The app also includes

  • 7 of Rhonna's Insta Fonts (with 26 designs each), all included in the "Design Packs".
  • 29 fab fonts for texts.
  • 8 photo filters.
  • 36 exclusive frames.
  • 9 backgrounds.
  • The possibility to upload your own images or make them from the app.
  • There are very good video tutorials about the handling of the App.

Now you don't have any excuse not to start creating your own original, ready-to-share images, do you?

Let me know in the comments section what's your favorite application is for creating instant images.
