This Is How Free Speech Dies

Well in case you guys haven't heard by now, a Scottish Youtuber has been found guilty in court of law, by a judge, for making an offensive joke on the internet.

The man known as Count Dankula was accused by prosecutors of causing fear and alarm, when he posted a video of his girlfriend's pug giving the Nazi salute when he says "Gas the Jews". Obviously the thought police didn't like this at all, and complained to the authorities, that this was somehow a way of recruiting Nazi's. He has subsequently been found guilty and might face jail time. Yes for a joke.

The irony of this whole situation seems to be pretty lost on the government who actually went through with this witch hunt. The only time in recent history where this was common practice, was literally Nazi Germany. The Scottish government has done exactly what the fascist Hitler regime did, short of taking this guy outside and putting a bullet in his head. The video explains in that it's all about the context, in what is the best rant I have seen in a while.

So what do you think happens when one government sets a legal precedence with a case like this? They are now able to control speech of the people, with that comes the control of thought. Why do you think all dictators use this strategy of suppressing free speech.

The question was asked, where are the people standing up for your rights? They are still doing what the have been, for years, warning us that this shit was coming. Why haven't you heard them because you were told by MSM and all the sheep that these people were racist, and instead of thinking for yourself. You adopted the opinion of those who told you how and what to think.

"Of all the threats to free speech in history, the one the media give the most credibility to without question is the feminist movement, which is trying to rebrand public debate as harassment." - Milo Yiannopoulos

I agree with Jonathan Pie (who I subscribe to). It's a fucking joke. If you are going to find the guy guilty find him guilty of poor taste. Which might be a capital offense these days.

Thanks for the great column.

Youtuber Scotland has become the most feared Jews like Adolf Hitler hhhhhhhh

So enlightening. Well to my best knowledge government tends to do this to put fear on people and when this happened people become afraid to talk not even to criticize bad government in that vein, they become more powerful day by day. And this is why they continue to do whatever they wish in power. In order way, i still don't support speeches that re not cool to public hearing, especially hate speeches and racist rants.

I really think all human by law have the right to free speech, but this right should not be taken for granted. Because in as much as words can motivate people, words spoken also has the power to cause menace, fear and even death.
So I strongly stand with freedom of speech by every individual but I advice for positivity while exercising your right.
