Dear Steemit and Fellow Friends,
I have been rather inactive the past 2-3 weeks, but it isn't cause I have left the platform! After launching my Streaming Show I quickly realized that using the hardware I had available would not work to make the stream run the way I hoped it would. I was having lag issues and overall quite a few headaches running everything smoothly.
It worked better than it should have considering that I was running the whole operation using a 2011 iMac and an even older Windows Pc I built before that one. I took the risk to sell some stuff I no longer need and especially took the risk of selling my iMac which was my main computer for all of my work. Blogging, Streaming, Music Production etc. which has meant that I have not been able to do any work these past 2 weeks, except focus on selling my old material as fast as possible and used all the money I got to immediately buy the parts I needed for my new setup.
I managed to scratch together enough money to build 2 computers, and the final parts are arriving probably monday or tuesday, will have to install them and restore all the programs I use, set everything up and I will be very soon back sharing content with you all!
The Rigs I am setting up are beasts compared to the computers I had running before.
My Main Rig for Music Production/Gaming/Working will be running:
- An AMD Ryzen 7 1700 8x3.0 Ghz
- 16GB DDR4
- Radeon RX560 HD4GB (This is temporary, and will go into the support pc in a month or two) Will be updating with a Radeon RX580 8GB
- SSD 240GB Main Drive.
My Support Pc(Handle the streaming side of things):
- AMD Ryzen 5 1600x 6x3.6GHZ
- 8GB DDR4
- Radeon HD 6850 1GB (will get the GPU from the main rig when I can update that next month or so)
- Just a normal HDD not sure what size I'll put in, have a used 150GB and 500GB lying around.
While I haven't been posting during this time, I still took the time to drop by into mysticravenpro and curate some posts every now and then from the musicians that I am following and promoting through this page.
Just thought I would make an update about what is going on with me and why I have been rather absent from the site.
@toddjsmith1979 Will be back in the discord channel as well once I get everything running mate. I am still hoping to have you on my Distracted Interviews Show once I have my new rig setup and running :D
