The search engine giant announced it has rolled out an update of the feature in the iOS version of Maps app. In this latest version of iOS Maps app, users can find access to three tabs Explore, Driving and Transit, while wiping the screen towards the top.

All three of these tabs will allow iOS version of Maps users to find restaurants around them more easily, or know the next bus schedule.

However, the user must make sure the home and work addresses are stored in order to obtain the recommended bus or train that should be used and the arrival time of the next transport.

With these updates, the iOS version of Google Maps is able to provide users with more in-depth traffic and transit information. The information includes transit stations along with scheduled and estimated arrival times, as well as nearby traffic conditions and predicted delays on certain routes.
