My Week in Review

Earlier this week, this awesome thing showed up. I was determined to livestream my first use of it, but after two days of working on my laptop (and fixing it up a lot!) I still couldn't get it to livestream any higher than 420p despite a fast internet connection and even using the ethernet cord instead of just wifi.

So I decided that as much as I wanted to livestream my first use of it, I'd already shat away two days that I could've been using to learn how to use the tablet.

My first two attempts at using it were miserable:

So yeah, those were terrible. I was being a total wuss with the tablet. So I buckled down and drew this:

Then I got a #FreebieFridayWEEKEND request to draw @Amberquamme's daughter. It was a huge challenge, and I had no confidence in my ability to do it, but I tried anyways.

My husband's birthday is coming up fast. I'm trying to sell jewellery to get some money to hopefully get him a present. Of course, I'll also happily do paid art commissions as well, if that's what you'd rather.

Then today I gave Tuxie a much needed bath. We've been dealing with a massive flea issue, and Tuxie has it the worst. I had to thoroughly shampoo and rinse him five times to get all of the flea dander/dried blood before the water came out not red or orange. (I had to wait for several wounds he caused himself to heal some before I could give him a bath.) After he was mostly dried off, I rubbed a flea repellent oil all over him and into his fur. Now he smells amazing! Is it enough to drive away the fleas? I sure hope so! But we'll just have to wait and see.

So I'm exhausted, and really hoping to get more Freebie Friday requests, because I should be able to crank them out like crazy now that I have this tablet. (I haven't been able to do as much drawing this weekend as I expected to, for various reasons.)
