Omnicron is spreading everywhere and as a result, politicians are panicking. I wonder if they bothered to see if Omnicron is as deadly as the original virus or even Delta because while the virus is spreading really fast, its effects don't seem to be anywhere close to the original.
So some places are doing lockdowns while others like where I am are doing harder quarantines and making it harder to get in and out. Vaccinated or not. Such is life. And when you want to make a trip or frequent trips back and forth, you realize that it is going to be a while longer before that ever happens.
I think that life within a country has a chance of getting back to normal with quarantines. But international travel doesn't look like it will ever get back to anything close to normal because the standards between countries are so different and even within countries are so different. So unless you can afford paying $1,000+ extra per trip minimally, travel should be kept to a minimum.
