The agent sent us some apartments to look at and nothing really excited us. I mean they were either too old or too far or too small. I know that we're being a little picky but if you need to find somewhere to stay for the next couple of years, then you want to make sure its good.
So we looked at the market listings ourselves and found 8 more apartments worth taking a second look at. After getting further details, we then narrowed it to 3 more. So in total, we will be looking at 6 more apartments. Not too bad.
My thoughts on house hunting is that it really becomes tough to make a choice because nothing is perfect. You are always giving up on something and having to make that choice is difficult. If we were 'forced' to live in any one of the apartments, I am sure we would adjust and be fine.
On another note, it still looks like the omicron fear is persisting. Quarantine requirements are increasing as is testing. Could the vaccines save us? I hoped so but at this point it is probably a mindset more than health concerns.
