DRUGS are bad MmmKayy......
I lived in San Francisco for about a year and this woman was always walking the block I lived on. She was also in a YouTube video with pro skater Andy Roy which blew my mind. I have done my fair share of illicit substances and made plenty of mistakes in my life, there for I am not judging anyone at all, of course when it comes being a productive member of society appearance has nothing to do with your values, and actions.
Drugs have a use no matter if its crystal meth or cocaine, Drugs are not the problem education is the problem, and people do not educate themselves or others on the use of drugs. I listened to a very powerful episode of the JRE podcast and Joe had on a guest by the name of Carl Hart. (Carl Hart, Ph.D., is an associate professor of psychology and psychiatry at Columbia University. He is known for his research in drug abuse and drug addiction.) In my opinion he was 100% correct on the fact that people are not educated enough to understand drugs and what they do and why people turn to them in the first place. For me growing up there were crack heads and heroin addicts then the softer group which was pot smokers and acid takers. The fact is that even though I knew the outcome of doing hard drugs I did not know what to do if life got to the point where taking drugs was a cure. So the basics were there but the life experience was not and in turn I started using heroin at a very late age in life.
Now the fact that I was educated in the outcome of using drugs was what got me to clean myself up and get away from the ease of acquiring drugs. I knew that if I did not stop I would turn into a monster or end up dead or in jail, because that's what happen to everyone I knew. So from me understanding what drugs can do, I was able to free myself and I understood why I was using them. Now I do not live in California anymore not because I do not want to, I moved out there with the purpose of getting clean and I did get clean and unfortunately I was unable to set up a permanent living situation as my head was not programmed to do that in the first place. Now I plan on moving back to California to live life, and if I make that my main objective I do not see any difference in the outcome of succeeding.
