She's finally back!

It all started where it ended... the airport

So first things first, I love airports, when you are either walking out into the arrivals hall or waiting for someone to come walking in. There is always this weird feeling of excitement in the air, as if everyone that walks through the doors won some medal or achievement, I don't know I just love airports.

So thanks to her dad giving me the wrong time, I waited for about an hour before she finally came running out jumping into my arms and choking me :) We continued home and we each took turns getting our little surprises ready, we are both biggg on surprises and doing little things for the other person.

She went first and when I came out there where little candles everywhere and in the middle of the room were four glasses and a bowl of lemon slices. So for these that don't know yet the girl in question is @capetowngirl and she had just come back from Mexico, so in the glasses was what they call the Mexican flag. It is a way of drinking Tequila in Mexico, firstly you bite into the lemon and then secondly you take a sip of your tequila and then lastly you drink some tomato cocktail... hmmmm yum yum , especially when the tequila you are drinking is Don Juilo 70 .

So I didn't take any photo's the night as we agreed to put all technology aside as we haven't seen each other for a month, I have however taken some photo's afterwards to show you guys, below we have the "Mexican Flag"

Then she also brought me a delicious chipotle sauce because I love my chilies, and some sweeties called Bubu Lubu's, but I think that's mostly for her, see below.

Then my Surprise was just some classic Cait and Piet style treats, I got us some fresh oysters and a bottle of brilliant Shiraz by Middelvlei. I also made us a nice cheese and crackers plate to ensure a great catch-up session.

(Yeah so the oysters and cheese plate didn't make it until now hahaha)

She has been back for 4 days so you can expect some new food and wine post from me, as we cook and drink on :)
