Carnivore 75 Hard Redux: Days 28 & 29

Another double post. Time really got away from me yesterday and I didn't get a chance to make a post. Right after work, I came home and made a meal, and then immediately after that, I had band practice for a few hours. After, I managed to make my daily Actifit post, but I just didn't feel like spending any more time on the computer than that. My wife and I have been watching an episode of Locke & Key each night before I go to sleep and I felt a lot more like doing that than writing a blog post.


Nutrition & Healing

This image covers both days, which is convenient given that I forgot to take a screenshot yesterday. As you can see, both days were a little bit shorter as far as time fasted is concerned. That's because I ate two meals on both days. The eating window was still short because I eat lunch at about 12:30 when I eat lunch at work. Then I get home around 3 pm and start cooking right away.


This image also covers both days, because I've been eating the same thing for dinner every day lately. If it's not broke, don't fix it... right? I got four steaks the other day with the intention of eating one a day. They stay pretty fresh for four days if you get them the day they were packed, and then there's no need to freeze one or a couple, only to eat them a few days later. I don't mind cooking steaks from frozen, but I feel a little silly freezing them and eating them two days later.

What the hell... I might as well post the second day's meal as well. The eggs and bacon and there because I don't think one steak is enough food for the day (even if I eat lunch) but I don't really want to make two steaks. Partially because I just don't want to eat that much steak and partially because I just don't think I want to work that into the budget right now.

Mindset - Day 28

Paul Saladino deserves some respect for putting up with two fruitarians for this long. This was a mostly friendly debate, but it did get heated a few times. I listened to the audio version via Overcast (the best way to listen to podcasts) so I didn't actually see the two fruitarians, but look at those vegan zombie eyes! Yikes.

There was actually a lot of very nerdy/technical stuff discussed in this episode, though, and it's definitely worth a listen. Just fast forward when it gets annoying.

Mindset - Day 29

This was a much easier listen. The topic is written right there on the thumbnail. Low carb, keto, insulin, and LDL in heart disease risk. I found it to be an interesting interview, and it's a short one. Give it a shot!

Movement

I'm really trying to avoid complaining about things I cannot control, but.. motherfucker, man alive! I'm tired of winter. It was cold AF today and yet again, I had to resort to walking around a little extra on purpose to get my steps in because there was no walk to be had.
