The hope lies in your own self @midlet steem is a tool, it has a community, but the community extends beyond the blockchain itself. You have a blog, you have a following, you have a community. Even if steem were to explode entirely, it's within your grasp to forge on and continue what you've been doing here on your own. On your own website and feed, you can connect to many different networks as a way to distribute your work.
So many networks will exist, and so many ways to interface them... I think users will gravitate towards a proper feed tool which is entirely user controlled, much like an RSS reader instead of relying on having 35 different social media accounts.
