Blockchain Blasts the Barriers of Ticket Sales
You know, it is great to be alive today! In the past so many problems were there that today have been solved by technology. Think about how people used to have to do a simple task like cleaning clothes. They had to go to the river, lake or nearby water source (usually outside,) spend lots of muscle effort, and use something nasty (often dangerous and/or deadly) to clean the clothes, and take all day to do it. Today we throw them in a washer, pour in some wonderful cleaning solution, press a few buttons and, viola we have clean clothes very soon.
One of the hassles that many people have gone through is purchasing a ticket for a concert, an event or some cause they want to support. The real frustration comes when you discover that your purchase turned out to be a mere copy rather than the real ticket. Many unscrupulous and shady characters are involved in the ticket resale market. Until recently, it was very difficult to know what was authentic, and what was not.
Block chain to the rescue!
I recently got the chance to see Alex Linebrink at SteemFest 2 in Lisbon, Portugal. Alex is the CEO and Co-Founder of PassageX which uses blockchain technology to facilitate ticket sales that turn out to be more efficient, smoother in the transaction processing, and usually cost a lot less than with other ticket sellers. They are leveraging technology to help connect fans with artists, venues and good causes. This is what technology is all about!
Watch this video interview I had with Alex. He made some very good points about using blockchain for purchasing ticket sales. You’ll want to check out what they are doing for a variety of events including —-get this — Halloween events and escape groups (I know, I thought it was strange myself). This amazing man and his amazing company are breaking ground, making some serious coin, and helping to transform an industry.
I don’t know if Alex and his team are planning to work in the clothes cleaning business (I doubt it) but they sure are helping thousands and thousands of people to enjoy concerts, events, and life a lot more. Think about how you could use some of these same principles and even some of the same technologies to transform what you’re doing.
Whatcha’ think? I look forward to hearing from you. Please leave a comment. Also, your upvotes are GREATLY appreciated. That lets me know if this is something you want to know more about in the future. If you have some other ideas of columns, videos, and/or interview, please let me know.
I look forward to hearing from you!
All the best,
Terry
