Thoughts on a dreary winters day

To be human is to feel the mundane and the extreme, to fluctuate between worlds of inner and outer.
To be a musician is to express those moments and reveal new layers to the world outside. Whatever instrument you choose, first and foremost you must learn to express.

This is my expression.
For many people they may have walls that make expression difficult. Obstacles they must get through before they can do what they desire. An example. Someone tells me they would love to play guitar but they don't have time.

Being a musician is about breaking down those walls. Making time to practise every day. Choosing to embrace all of humanity because music has no barriers.

“Love sets you free if you only let it be!”

Music is kindness. We share so much information these days without any though towards the kindness of our message. Most of the #openmic community on steemit is built on kindness, each participant is sharing a bit of themselves with the #steem platform and in turn they receive praise, gratitude and even some financial rewards.

What other acts of kindness are there in information sharing?
There are countless video's on youtube of so called truthers spreading a message they claim the world needs to hear. Messages about 9/11 cover ups. The Rothschild Bankers, The Illuminati, how every succesful person is a puppet for some grand scheme. All sorts of conspiracy of the times.
What troubles me is that the reality of some of these theories gets lost in the fear message.

Is it kind to inform someone they are a blind slave who has been fooled by some great trickster.
Yes there are real crisis' going on in this world and they have to do with global finance and geo-politics. Yes there are real dangers in the world with regards ideologies and war hysteria. The US government is really ran by corporations with the biggest pull.
As a musician it is my job to communicate my interpretations of these events.
My information though is only gained through the same channels open to others.
I read books. I watch some news channels for a spread of information. I listen to some podcasts.
I still don't know anything more than anyone else because ultimately we all have the same access.

I once read a victorian age book on philosophy called sesame and lillys. In it the author was advocating that young victorian girls should be reading more of the right books. Examples are given.

In this modern world so much information exists it is hard to determine which direction one should look.
I suggest we look for information that is kind.
I have no idea how to communicate what I mean by that though. I can state an example of what's not kind. A weather report urging creating fear about a big storm coming in order to create mass panic consumerism maybe?

Which comes back to my statement of what it is to be human! We are imperfect, we are constantly learning and some of us are quicker learners and will always be one step ahead of everyone else.
Those people direct the hive mentality, they can manipulate it and mould social idea's to their own ends.

We are a unique being on the planet. We are able to interpret ourselves. We can reflect on what it is to be us.SunEye.png
