The Lounger – Week #05

week #06
[1]

This series is for helping me to do more this year. My experience shows that publicity incentivize achievements through encouragement and guilt.

What I've Done?

I'll make a post at every weekend (hopefully I manage to be consistent and blog this every Sunday) about what I've done in the last 7 days.
I separate the post to two main parts, first is for the Steem related stuffs, the second is for all of the others.

Steem Related

  • Made contributions at Github (login req. for the following contrib.s/repo.s):
    1. @busy.org adcpm/busy issues
    2. @steempoll eSteemapp/steempoll issues
    3. @steemit steemit/steemit.com issues
    4. @steemconnect adcpm/steemconnect.com issues
    5. @steem steemit/steem issues
  • Reported an issue to @streemian
  • Made Hungarian translations for eSteem
  • Wrote a proposal about separating downvotes from flags
  • Started testing SteemPoll, made a community poll about downvotes/flags (the poll has issues)
  • Filled my Steem Trello board with past data and now I'm keeping it up-to-date
  • Started and still testing Busy's editor
I think I could post the week #06 summary with it confidently next week.
  • Answered questions at steemit.chat
  • Tested Busy chat and opened #magyar channel with some description for Hungarians
  • Pointed my blog URL to my Busy blog
  • Started using links that point to Busy, when I link Steem content
  • Started using my PM adress at Busy as one of my contact
  • Updated my public profile information: edited the about me section; website changed to my Steem Trello board instead pointing back to my profile which was meaningless
  • Posted and commented
I made the most comments this week since I've registered, it's just a few, but commenting more than "true", "welcome", "you're right", "great post" (I really start to dislike the last empty UV-follow seeker one) costs a lot of time and hard to stop it once I start. Also I didn't wanted to comment as usual but I couldn't resist.

Outside Steem

  • Survived the f*** cold January
  • Opened an issue in ProtonMail/WebClient at Github
  • Reached the end of my main mailbox, unsubscribed from #IWantToDoButNeverWillHaveTimeForThat projects (I was too scared to open my old mail account yet)
  • Started tracking my active time (everything except pure fun, like watching a movie [what is movie? :D ]) , missed tracking sometimes but I'm getting used to tracking; man, at least my sleeping habits similar to John Milton's one, I have some handicap, though :D
  • Updated some of my non-steem accounts, but still many remained

Verdict

I'm perfectly satisfied with myself except that I missed to meet my friends. I've overestimated my energy, and after I was awoken 30+ hours and slept 2 hours, I couldn't even type my PIN code for the phone before I've fallen asleep again. Damn, I'm getting older and older.

We have passed the first month, and I feel that I moved forward in some things, but didn't even start others. I know that the start is more difficult than the time will be when I'll feel the first good effects of what I'm doing now.
I want to reduplicate this week's success in the next.

I will be busy and I'll go full steem ahead. ;)

LOL, I've thought that the Trello boards inherit the teem settings (Public). It seems they don't, so my board was hidden to the public. I've corrected it now.
