Hey Steem,

I adopted my lovely puppy back in septempber (she's 5 years old). As we came into summer she had started to develope some skin problems.

It was getting quite dry and irritated, she was always licking and nibbling. Tried alot of stuff, medicated washes, diet supplements, vet even prescribed stuff, she hated all of em soo much, and they really just seemed to make it all worse, and it was just horrible.

Its really crazy how hard it is when you cant help!

So telling a friend about the drama's, she said have you tried coconut oil? I kinda chuckled, "ya next time I cook her tofu I'll use coconut oil". She had dandruff as a kid and her parents made her just have a tablespoon of oil a day, cured it right up.

Wow, so apparently my german shepered loves coconut oil. LOL just smashes it, and it worked so fast, totally blown away. Within 12 hours all the flakeyness was gone. All the redness, itchiensss gone, nice glossy coat, and she smells like coconut!. It has quite a few other benefits as well and she seems to not drink as much, really think its helped her water retention (big deal here, hitting 40c in this heatwave).

Just wanted to let everyone know my experience with it, really blown away!

@twigg

ps. noboy tell her its a little old.

I LOVE COCONUT OIL 😱🤗

As someone who has worked with animals (mainly canines) for the last 15 years, I am a huge proponent of these types of remedies. Coconut oil is, indeed, wonderful for skin issues (and so many other things!). I often encourage my clients to keep it, along with things like baby aspirin (pain relief), Pepcid AC (for tummy troubles), and benadryl (also for skin issues) on hand for their pooches. Not only are they all safe to use, they can often save you on expensive vet trips!

ya definatly see the value , vets are not cheap!

i'd like to know more about the use of this oil for humans too)

Nice post!!!Very interesting!!!

thanks
