PI Planning all the way......

in blog •  7 years ago

This morging I had a PI event of work. An PI event is a Program Incement within the Agile framework. (SCRUM in this particulair occasion). At this event different scrum teams are gathering to accomplish a coherent planning for the next couple of SCRUM sprints. Everybody can deliver input for the backlog in general and for the individual team-backlogs so everyone can plan and discuss the features for a specific release.

The event was kept at the beautiful surrounding of "De apenheul", that's a zoo especially with and for monkey's. (my collegue's fit right in. Aap is dutch for monkey, and heul is kind of a refuge.

First I had to join a meeting where I would 'defend' my features for the different teams. We've managed and all our stuff are on the team's backlogs now. So now it is a matter of the right Priorization to accomplish that what we want to achieve :)

When team's agreed internally we'd go to the Scrum of Scrums to inform the other teams if there were breakpoints in sprints. For us that wasn't the case. In the next 4 sprints we are aiming for our goals.

Off course we enjoyed the coffee a lot, sometimes it was required to stay awake, but hey... We've managed.

Finally, when appointments have been confirmed, the planning was final... I went back to the office to continue my daily work. There was enough to do....but first enjoying the sun a bit more...

Have a nice and sunny day, enjoy life and work to the fullest....
