The first line is important on steemit

in blogging •  7 years ago

I'm still finding my way around steemit, but I can already tell that the first line of the blog post is crucial. It's the one that appears right at the top in the blog stream.

Once that first line hooks people, they're more likely to read your post. Of course, the rest of the article must live up to the promise of the first line. I suspect that those with experience on Reddit will find steemit more intuitive. It just seems to have the same layout.

Without studying too much how other people are blogging here (I'm one of those people who hardly reads the manual!), I'm going into the deep end of content creation, my way. I think content creation is all about documenting and telling stories.

Overall I think the skills that I have acquired on other blogging platforms should help me here on steemit. So I'm using Grammarly here to correct the apparent errors because I type quickly without punctuation. Blame the predictive text on smartphone keyboards.

If you're going to do an excellent job at writing, I suggest you invest in a few tools to make your life easier. I have other writing software such as Ulysses, iAwriter, and Bear.

How long are the articles here? I can quickly write a thousand words a day. Can I post some of the items that I have previously posted on other blogs? That would make my life easier, but I have no problem producing new content because I document.

I have written three books and hundreds of blog posts. Most of the blog posts are on my WordPress website. I like the blockchain idea behind steemit, but I'm also listening to the critics. They speak from an economic and company setup point of view, but they do not have all the details and are merely speculating.

It has excited the few people that I have told about this platform, but I have not used it long enough to recommend it. If I do recommend it, I would advise people to do their research. I only talk about how I use it as is the case with most of what I do. I tell you how I use it, not how people should use it. People use these platforms differently which is why I'm trying not to study too much what others are doing.

So I'm just going to make this blog post five hundred words. But from tomorrow I'm going up to a thousand words. It's the first thing I do every morning. If you're a person with too many things to say, the best thing to do is to operate a media company. Social media platforms allow us to have our newspaper, radio, and television stations. Through a media presence, we can tell stories.

I'm curious to know about DTube so that I can bring some of my youtube skills to this platform.

Thank you for reading. I have lot s to learn here!follow-us-2395640_1920.jpg
