Perks Make a Difference!
Having now reached level 40 on Fallout 76's Nuclear Winter I have gained much more knowledge on the mechanics and the core game play of this Battle Royale add-on.
What seems to be a HUGE advantage is how you use your perk cards and which ones you use. With Nuclear Winter, you can only select a total of 7 Perk cards and you must have the points from the adventure side of the game to allocate these cards, for instance if you have 10 points in Strength, that is the maximum number of points you can use in Nuclear Winter cumulatively in this skill, (And this applies to other skills.) This can be made up of multiple cards and with the Nuclear Winter perk cards ranging from 1 point to a massive 9 points.
One distinct perk card, of which I haven't managed to obtain yet is the Frogs Legs perk, this gives the player the ability to leap really high, and when coupled with a grenade launcher gives the player an unfair advantage. Having said that, they are not invulnerable but rather very tricky to shoot down.
All in all, it is important to select the right perks, (as well as acquire the cards to use.) and in some cases you may need to switch points over in the adventure game to maximise your gameplay in Nuclear Winter.
