26 LIKEWISE the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, BUT THE SPIRIT HIMSELF MAKES INTERCESSION FOR US WITH GROANING [groans] WHICH CANNOT BE UTTERED.
27 Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, BECAUSE HE MAKES INTERCESSION FOR THE SAINTS ACCORDING TO THE WILL OF GOD."
Romans 8:26,27 (NKJV)

2 FOR HE WHO SPEAKS IN A TONGUE DOES NOT SPEAK TO MEN BUT TO GOD, FOR NO ONE UNDERSTANDS HIM; however, in the spirit he speaks mysteries.
14 For if I pray in a tongue, MY SPIRIT PRAYS, but my understanding is unfruitful."
1 Corinthians 14:2,14 (NKJV)

• Speaking in tongues is the initial evidence of the baptism of the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:4).

  • The Holy Spirit helps us, the believers, in praying—to pray effectively and in line with the mind or Will of God the Father (Romans 8:26,27).
  • Believers cannot pray effectively without the baptism of the Holy Spirit.
There is a limit to your prayers, as a believer, without the help of Holy Spirit:
26 IN THE SAME WAY THE SPIRIT [comes to us and] HELPS US IN OUR WEAKNESS. WE DO NOT KNOW WHAT PRAYER TO OFFER OR HOW TO OFFER IT AS WE SHOULD, BUT THE SPIRIT HIMSELF [knows our need and at the right time] INTERCEDES ON OUR BEHALF WITH SIGHS AND GROANINGS [groans] TOO DEEP FOR WORDS. 27 And He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, BECAUSE THE SPIRIT INTERCEDES [before God] ON BEHALF OF GOD'S PEOPLE IN ACCORDANCE WITH GOD'S WILL" (Romans 8:26,27 Amps).
  • If you allowed the Holy Spirit to help you in the intercession, you will NOT pray amiss—because He knows the mind of God the Father.
  • God is a Spirit, He understands the language of the Holy Spirit in prayer much more. And through the help of the Holy Spirit, Believers pray according to the Will of God!

• The importance of speaking in tongues.
I. Speaking in tongues is a means of conveying or communicating your burdens to God in prayer (1 Corinthians 14:2).

  • However, when speaking in diverse tongues is used in conjunction with the interpretation of tongues, a message from the Holy Spirit is being passed across (1 Corinthians 14:13,27).
II. Speaking in tongues is also a means of edifying yourself spiritually (1 Corinthians 14:4; Jude 20).
III. It is a means of magnifying God (Acts 10:46).
IV. Praying in tongues is a means of praying supernaturally (1 Corinthians 14:2).
    V. The praying in tongues is also an unselfish way of praying.
    a. There are Believers who do believe and want to say; In what way would the praying for others be of benefits to me?
    b. A mature Believer would not go to God in prayer with such an attitude. Upholding others through your prayers is a sign of maturity. A mature Believer would not focus on his or her own needs alone when praying.
    c. You cannot not spend time in praying in tongues and fellowshipping with God, without the very love, the nature of God, permeated through your Being.
    d. The more you pray in the the Spirit, Tongues, the less selfish you become in your prayers; and it would show in your relationship with your fellow human beings.
    e. The Holy Spirit leads and helps us in interceding, groaning in the Spirit, for some we do not even know much about (Romans 8:26).

• Important things in prayer.
I. Depend more on the Holy Spirit in prayers, because, that is the essence of His being on the inside of you (Romans 8:26,27; 1 Corinthians 14:14,15).
ALTHOUGH the Holy Spirit helps in your prayers, as a believer, but He is not responsible for your prayer life. He is the Helper of the believers, He helps their inabilities, but not to do what the believers ought to do—praying.
II. Pray in tongues when you do not know what to pray on (Ephesians 6:18). a. The Holy Spirit resides on the inside of your spirit and communicates with your spirit, as a believer in Christ Jesus.
b. The Holy Spirit helps in intercessions and supplications (Romans 8:27).
c. He helps in praying for the sick.
d. Praying in the Spirit, tongues, helps your growth spiritually.
d. Praying in tongues is a REST in God (Isaiah 28:11,12).
III. God is seeking for those who will give themselves to prayers.
a. Therefore, edify yourself by praying in tongues, and let God use you through praying in tongues to be a blessing to others: "FOR HE WHO SPEAKS IN A TONGUE DOES NOT SPEAK TO MEN BUT TO GOD, for no one understands him; however, in the spirit he speaks mysteries" (1 Corinthians 14:4 NKJV).
b. God through the Holy Spirit on the inside of you stirs your heart to pray for someone who is in danger, which may or could not have been known by you or anyone at the time.

• You will not fail in Jesus' name.

  • Should there be any ailment in your body, receive your healing now in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
  • The hold is totally broken and never to rise again in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
    Peace!
