Darrington bluegrass festival 2017

Hi, I upvoted and resteemed your post. It's because I got bit by a bluegrass bug as a kid and been playing strings ever since... I'm a geek by profession and a crypto/blockchain enthusiast, but I'm really a picker... I just do this computer stuff for money.

That is awesome. I want to be a picker but have no musical training. Still I have my eye on a banjo......

I'm a tech/crypto/blockchain enthusiast as well! I've been a "professional" picker since I was 15 years old but I am trying to make a career change....Work history: Bluegrass Picker (21 years) doesn't look that awesome on a resume to most people- I think. BTW I worked this festival several years ago with 'The Boxcars'- lovely festival!!!

Harold Nixon on STEEMIT! What's up! Incase the blockchain world doesn't know... Harold's band, The Boxcars, are international bluegrass superstars. Totally my favorite band. It's so cool when there are cross sections of tech and bluegrass... the two things that I do. I've seen The Boxcars live probably 15 times... Just make another album, we'll all buy it.

How do you get your bass to sound like that on the records... This is a topic of serious debate amongst lots of my recording buddies...
