This monster powered the Brabham BT52 Formula One Racing Car. Some experts have estimated it to produce a maximum of 1400 hp although in race trim they kept it around 800 hp. It is a 1.5L four-cylinder unit with 16 valves. Incredible no?
Absolutely stunning. It’s unbelievable the power f1 cars used to have, this truly is an engineering masterpiece. A 1.5 producing 1400bhp... then you look at the size of that turbo and understand why.... it’s looks like a gas turbine! Haha:) love it! I want to hear it so bad
Paul Rosche, who is labeled by BMW as the father of the Championship engine, admitted that BMW did not even know how much power the engine could produce. it's a beast man
