Board Game Spotlight - Borderlands: Tiny Tina’s Robot Tea Party

Players: 2-5 players
Playing Time: 15-45 min (BGG)
Age: 13+
Designer: Adam McCrimmon
Publisher: Nerdvana Games, XYZ Game Labs.

Basics Set in the borderlands Universe, Tiny Tina’s Robot Tea Party pits players against each other trying to build a complete claptrap unit. Each player has a base claptrap unit which will determine which pieces players are going after throughout the game. Players will play action cards against their opponents. Players may attach Clap Trap parts to their unit in hopes of building a complete Clap Trap of the same type of parts. Players may attach mismatched parts to opponent Clap Trap units to try and offset their opponents' actions. The victor goes to the person who successfully builds a complete Clap Trap unit with matching parts to their core unit.

This game is fun and can be quick. Depending on the players it can be a longer game. The strategy with the game is playing components on other players while trying to build components onto yours. Cards played may drastically change this.
I enjoyed this game. It’s fun to find the different combinations of Clap Trap units. For those who enjoy the Borderlands video game series they will enjoy this game. The artwork is fun and very thematic. Gameplay can be frustrating when it comes to waiting for a part removal card. While the gameplay is quick it can be frustrating at times.
